Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Sprinkles optional
Instructions:
Grease a donut pan and preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius
Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a bowl
Add the egg, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, and sugar
Blend until thoroughly blended
Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl
Mix together the dry and wet ingredients; stir in the milk and chocolate chips
Pour the batter into each cavity of the greased donut pan, filling it to about two thirds full
When a toothpick is inserted into a donut, it should come out clean after baking for 10 to 12 minutes
After a few minutes of cooling in the pan, move the donuts to a wire rack to finish cooling
Heat heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl until it is heated through but not boiling
To make the chocolate glaze, pour it over the semisweet chocolate chips and stir until smooth
Reposition the donuts on the wire rack after dipping each one in the chocolate glaze and letting any excess drip off
Sprinkles can be added while the glaze is still wet, if desired
Your Chocolate Banana Donuts are now ready for consumption; just let the glaze set
