Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C
Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans
In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
Add the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract
Mix well until the batter is smooth and well combined
Stir in the boiling water until the batter is thin and smooth
Dont worry; it will be quite liquidy, but thats okay
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes
Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely
Once the cakes are completely cool, you can frost and decorate them as desired
