This Cajun crab and rice casserole is a delightful blend of flavors, featuring succulent crab meat, aromatic Cajun spices, and creamy rice, all baked to perfection. Its a comforting and satisfying dish thats perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb crab meat
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 190C 375F
Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to a skillet and cook them until they get soft
Come back in 34 minutes and add the crab meat and Cajun seasoning
Add heavy cream, chicken broth, and cooked rice and mix well
Let it cook for 5 minutes
Add pepper and salt to taste
Move the mixture to a casserole dish that has been greased
Add shredded cheddar cheese on top
Toast it for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it turns golden and bubbly
Add chopped parsley as a garnish before serving
